A tough life is nothing more than the opposite of an easy life. Who is to say that one is better than the other? A difficult life can lead a man to try harder and cause him to gain more. An easy life can make one weak. Which one is better than the other? Certainly, there are greater invisible ideas than these simple observations. To paraphrase the movie, there is more than meets the eye. Take the bible or the sutras. They seem to preach something relating to divinity, and conflict is what follows from accepting one or the other. I have often been confused by this situation and I cannot believe that one is better than the other. Surely, there are other mechanisms at work than a simple belief in one or the other. One god is fine with me and there are many belief systems that allow for a multiplicity of gods. Nevertheles, we cannot do like an ostrich on the initiative that many people desire to change the world. The ones that belong to the oppressed or the have-nots have valid|some reason for wanting to improve their lot. These would have to be the revolutionaries. Well, there is nothing wrong with a little revolution here and there but it could become negative and un-progressive when it proceeds for longer than necessary. People need a little bit of stability in order to prosper and too much revolution is not a good thing|at all desirable. Mental revolution would be great. I laud that kind of changing. It might proceed to a good improvement in the world if it gathers adherence. Is it consequently safe to aver that making modifications to the world can be gained by changing the mind? I would like to explore that premise and find out if it is valid. A mind that is too ridgid and unchanging is eventually boring and insipid. I go for dynamism and would advocate that over staticity.
